Landlord Information
All gas appliances in a tenanted property must be checked for gas safety every 12 months or when a new tenant moves in. This is the Law in the UK.
We will carry out the required safety certificates for you as well as completing any other work for you at the same time. We are happy to collect keys or have keys sent to our offices to make things as easy as we can.
We will:
- • Arrive at the arranged time or keep you informed of any delays
- • Work cleanly and efficiently with minimal disruption, and will always ensure we leave your premises clean and tidy following our visit.
- • Work to Gas Safe (Corgi Registered) regulations putting your safety first

Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britain and Isle of Man on 1 April 2009 and Northern Ireland and Guernsey on 1 April 2010.
What does Gas Safe Register do?
The main focus of the Register is on improving and maintaining gas safety to the highest standards. We make sure all gas engineers on the Register, over 120,000, are qualified to work with gas.
We work to protect the public from unsafe gas work through;
- a dedicated national investigations team tracking down individuals working illegally
- regular inspections of Gas Safe registered engineers
- educating consumers and raising awareness of gas safety
- investigating reports of unsafe gas work

- South West Heating and Plumbing provides a complete range of services to business customers in Cornwall including planned maintenance. We undertake repairs, emergency response and planned maintenance in order to keep your business premises functioning effectively at all times.
- We can provide 24 hour (365 days) services in both occupied and unoccupied premises during times to suit you, including evenings and weekends, and all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Larger works can be Estimated/Fixed Price.
- We always ensure minimum disruption and we leave your premises clean and tidy following our visit.
Emergencies
Call South West Heating and Plumbing night or day with an emergency we will we will be with you with you as quickly as possible.
- Once the situation has been assessed action will be taken immediately to resolve the problem. If non-stocked parts and materials are required the work will be made temporarily safe with completion as soon as possible – usually the same or following day.
- If further works that are unrelated to the emergency are required they can be carried out at our hourly rate or an estimate can be given for larger jobs.
- We work cleanly and efficiently with minimal disruption, and will always ensure we leave your premises clean and tidy following our visit.
- Workmanship carries a full written 12 month guarantee and appointments are made at a time to suit the customer.
